This challenge coin commemorates the four officers who lost their lives in service to the City of Inkster, Michigan. The front of the coin is a throw back to the old Inkster Police shoulder patch. The back of the coin lists the names of the fallen. Coin is 2.5 inches tall by 2 inches wide. A donation will be made to the Inkster memorial fund.
Their Stories:
July 9th, 1987 was one of the darkest days in Michigan Law Enforcement history. While attempting to serve an arrest warrant at the Bungalow Motel, Officer Dan Dubiel, Officer Clay Hoover, and Sergeant Ira Parker were gunned down. The suspects then stayed in their motel room for a 10 hour stand off with police, during the standoff hundreds of rounds were fired out of the motel room.
June 17th, 1994. While attempting to stop a suspect for narcotics possession in the area of Pine and Henry St, Officer Kenneth Woodmore was shot five times.
